Blogcation
This week I’m spending time at our family cabin. Actually, it’s not ours, we rent it. But one week a year, since the time I was 12, my family goes north to a lake to swim, golf, play cards, sit by the campfire, eat, sleep, and swat bugs TOGETHER. All 50 (or so) of us. Together for one week. It’s heaven. Honestly, my kids would pick CABIN over CHRISTMAS.
So I’m sorry, but I’m there, and not here, on my blog, as I usually am, each and every single Wednesday. I am on a Blogcation. But never fear. I have not totally abandoned you. In my absence I am leaving you with a few of my past favorite posts (all summer themed!) that you may have missed over the past couple of years. It’s still word nerd goodness, just recycled.
Traveling Close to Home
In the vein of vacation… here’s what you can do it you aren’t able to travel to the setting of your work in progress.
Summer Reading Round Up
Last August I shared some of my favorite reads from summer 2018. If you are looking for a great book to read, then this post is for you.
Creative Magic at Cirenaica
In honor of my friends at the Chippewa Valley Writers Guild who just got done hosing their premier summer writing event, I’ll offer a recap of the writing workshop I attended through their gracious hospitality last summer.
So until next week, when I come back very tan, very full, very happy and most likely very bug bitten, I will leave you with these previous posts. I hope you all have a great week, get lots of writing done and are enjoying your summer.
All the best,
Amanda
